26 Of Magick's Most Useful Crystal Correspondences

Cleansing and charging before use:

Before we get to your crystals correspondences, let’s talk about cleansing and charging them. It’s important to take care of them and remove any negative energies. You should cleanse and charge them at least monthly (Luckily there is a Full Moon every month.) But if you are using them excessively or taking them with you daily, you can consider cleansing them more often. Crystals are great for healing, but they need taken care of.

How To Cleanse:

Smoke- You can cleanse with most dried bundled herbs. My favorite are sage, rosemary, and dragon’s blood.
Sound- Using a witch’s bell or even chanting can clear out unwanted vibrations. This works well for cleansing many stones at once or if you can’t use smoke.
Large Clusters- Large clusters ( Like Black Tourmaline) and slabs can be used to cleanse smaller stones. Leaving them on top or near the large clusters for 24 hours will cleanse them from negative energy.
Brown Rice– Placing them in brown rice for 24 hours will draw the negativity out of the crystals into the rice.
Moon Water- This method doesn’t work for all crystals, please make sure yours can go in water before soaking it. But for ones that do work in water, soak them for a few hours, keeping an eye on the coloration.

How To Charge:

Moonlight– Putting them in the window seal or outside somewhere safe during a full moon is a good way to charge most crystals. But not all should sit in the sunlight, so be careful to take them in before sunrise.
Sunshine– Setting them in direct sunlight is great, but not for all of crystals. Amethyst or rose quartz (and more) can fade in the sunlight.
Soil– Burying crystals in the soil overnight is a great way to recharge them.
